I’ve always admired Graves’s prose more than his verse, but there are some memorable poems, such as this one, and my favourite - ‘Welsh Incident,’ which captures the Welsh cadences perfectly, as befits an officer in the Royal Welch Fusileers in WW1. Thanks for the enjoyable analysis!
